I was not implying R' Cunin is not in his hayday anymore...rather that this was where he started down the path to fighting the wars of gollus (not many people can say they are one of the main parts of the song that bachurs sing whenever someone bids 770 of anything). If it wasnt for all his hard work in the 60s in UCLA, he wouldnt of gotten the call up for the DIdan Netzach campaign. I guess I used the wrong word...i would probably switch it to "First Gig." ALso, I would like to reckognize R' Cunins lack of selling out/buying in...as I was told a story from R' Cunin that around 3 months ago, he was driving down the street and saw someone who "looked jewish." This led him to tell his shamash to pull over, and R' Cunin leaping out, finding out that the person was a yid, and mifsoying the heck out of him. Ashraynu.
